Silence of the Night

The splitting silence of the night
Digs out memories from graves
While screaming in the loudest pitch
The loneliness misbehaves

Spilling out of its concavity
Melancholy everywhere
Threatening one’s sanity
Beautiful escape, nowhere

Terrifying darkness lurking
Behind the deathly hallows
The suppressed voices shrieking
Only heard through shadows

The night brings out demons
Those terribly insidious beings
Hallucinations and illusions
Kept together by calloused bindings

Lord of the night, they chanted
Like a useless, broken record
The fragile strings, now unfettered
Out of their hidden concord
